BEECHER CITY--Edgar G. "Bob" Petty, 77, of Beecher City died Saturday, March 9, 1985, at Lakeland (Fla.) Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lockart & Sons Funeral Home, Beecher City, with burial in Mound Cemetery, Cowden. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 today. Mr. Petty was born in Cowden, the son of Edward and Lavina Petty. He married Carrie Sarver in 1926. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Herrick Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife; sons, Eugene of Beecher City, Glenn Lanell of Herrick, Donald of Elwin; daughter, Imogene Atkinson of Herrick; half brothers, Lee, Virgil and Kermit Tucker, all of Cowden; half sisters, Bertha Blankenship and Mary Beck, both of Cowden; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, one half brother and one half sister.
