John Sherman Sanders-62813

John was killed the third day of the Battle of the Bulge in W.W. II. He is buried at Neville-En-Condroz a United States Military Cemetery in Belgium. Date of birth taken from his Birth Certificate, date of Death gotten from his wife Virginia Riley Sanders and His grave marker which I took a picture of while stationed in Europe while in the U.S. Army. Grover Marion Sanders-62814

Grover Marion was pre mature and just lived a short time. This information given by his mother Virginia Riley Sanders. She told me that his birth certificate does not have a name on it, just baby Sanders, but they had intended to name the baby Grover Marion after his grandfathers. (by C. A. Ditzler, Jr.)

MACON - Clarence E. Sanders, 85, died at 7:07 pm (March 12, 2008) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 17 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua with Rev. Phyllis Howley officiating. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm, Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Moweaqua, Illinois. Memorials to DMH Hospice Care. Clarence was born September 5, 1921 in Tower Hill, Illinois to William Grover and Nellie Maude (Devor) Sanders. He worked for A.E. Staley's, Decatur and proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. He married Virginia H. Riley in Cowden, Illinois on December 24, 1951. She preceded him in death on February 14, 2004. He is survived by son Ed and friend Barbara Rakoff of Mt. Zion; sister Margaret (Charles) Lines of Shelbyville; brother Robert (Mary) Sanders of Palmetto, FL; and grandchildren Steve (Michelle) Sanders of Decatur and Kelli Sanders of Mt. Zion. He is preceded by wife; brothers Homer, Frank, Ray and Sherman and sisters Dorothy, Marie and Rosa. Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua is entrusted with care and services arrangements.
