Anthony Peler 2 4 2 0 0

Note: Anthony Peeler born in either Altheim, Baden or Wurttemberg Germany immigrated through Rotterdam Germany aboard the ship “Robert and Alice”. He arrived in Philadelphia, PA on Sept. 11 1738. His German name was “Buhler”, other spellings: “Bieller”, “Biehler”, and “Bullher”. He relocated from Lancaster County PA between 1744 and 1758. He had 3 verified children with the possibility of these four others: Elizabeth (DOB: Sep. 28 1741), Ulrich, George and David.
Spouse #1 Unknown. Known children: Christian Peeler; Anthony Peeler; Michael Peeler (DOB Aug 9 1740 Lancaster Co. PA)

Note from Sharolyn P. Wood: Anthony Peeler listed on the “Robert and Alice” purchased land in Rowan Co N.C. in 1764 and that Peeler Creek in Davie County is named for the Anthony Peeler family. It may also interest you that Peeler’s Dairy (Cherokee Co. SC) is currently owned by a direct descendant of Anthony Peeler.

Note from researcher: Zechariah Blackwell,(1759-1843), is buried in Issac Peeler’s family cemetery near Gaffney, SC. Someone told me there was no proof, but they thought Zechariah had married a Rachel Peeler who may have been the daughter or sister of Issac.

Note: Samuel Gilkey was born Jan. 22, 1820 died Aug. 22, 1898 in Attala county MS. I am trying to confirm his brothers & sisters. I think that there were 14 in all. Anthony, James, Bury(or Barry), Dizey, Aaron, Anderson J., William Riley, Penina, Samuel Gilkey, Richmond, Mattison, Isaac, Marion. They were all born in SC.

Note: No children with wife Anney Dill
