The End Came to Mrs. Elizabeth Hamilton Last Thursday.
Mrs. Elizabeth Hamilton died last Thursday May 11 at her home onLexington Junction Road, Maiden name was Simpson, she was a native ofHalifax Co, Virginia, born Jan 16, 1838. She was the second daughter ofJ.B. Simpson, an early settler of Ray County, having come here with herfather in May 1847. She was a sister of Mrs. Martha Ralph of Richmond. In1854 she was married to Dr. W.B. Hamilton and was the mother of twelvechildren, seven of whom survive her. viz: A.P. Hamilton, Dr. Eugene andMiss Agnes Hamilton of Kansas City; W.S. Hamilton of Clarksdale Mo., Dr.W.C. Hamilton of Fargo, South Dakota, Mrs. D. H. Huff of Lawson, and MrsC.D. Brasher of Orrick. In the year 1867 she became Presbyterian.Internment in Richmond City Cemetery.
