Not much is known about Delia except that she must have died before May of 1842 as William remarried then. No tombstone in Maury or Williamson County has been found. The 1850 Censue in Williamson County shows William with his secound wife and children ranging from 16 to 7. William and his secound wife had only been
married 8 years and his secound wife would have only been 11 years old at the birth of the first child.Therefore most of these children must have been his and Delilah's. The last one was names Delilah born in 1838 so it is posible that Deliah died just after giving birth to her. Her tombstone reads Della C Skelly. Williamson County Census 1850 reads Delilah, My belief is she was named for her mother and her mother might have died at giving birth to her and after her birth there is no record to be found of her mother and a few years later her father remarried.
