Note from researcher: Elisha Floyd Petty was the son of Alfred Petty (1795 NC-1843 MS) and Mary Tubb (1797 SC-1872 TX.) He was born July 11, 1823 in Franklin County, TN and died October 26, 1907 in Coolidge, TX. Elisha Petty was married three times, first to Mary E. Dew December 19, 1850 in Noxubee Co., MS., second to Harriet E. Pace July 17, 1855 in Noxubee Co., MS., and third to Elizabeth Jane Birdwell March 20, 1859 in Nacogdoches Co., TX, I don't believe Elisha Petty and Mary Dew had any children. She may have died in childbirth. Elisha and Harriet Pace had at least one child, a son, George W. Petty (1857). Elisha and Elizabeth Jane Birdwell had eight children; Sarah, James, Elisha, Mary, David, Fannie, H. Bruno, and Shellburn.
