Petty (son of our James Petty) was the same Joshua Petty who married
Aggatha Bullock Nuckolls. Note the property location on Abington Creek.
This was property that James Petty Jr. owned. This property was located
next to Joshua's land, and more important, the **land** of **John
Jeffries**. John Jeffries was the son of Nathaniel Jeffries and Rebecca
Curry. Rebecca Curry, was the daughter of Nicholas Curry, one of the
executors of the elder James Petty estate. (John Petty)*

Walter Petty ( pelduo at earthlink.net) states thta Thomas who is now in 2004 linked as the son of Moses is not likely the son of Moses, nor does he have the middle name of Jefferson, he is simply Thomas Petty. See Thomas Petty with wife as Jenny Patterson for more information.

He arrived in Philadelphia, PA on Sept. 11 1738. His German name was “Buhler”, other spellings: “Bieller”, “Biehler”, and “Bullher”. He relocated from Lancaster County PA between 1744 and 1758. He had 3 verified children with the possibility of these four others: Elizabeth (DOB: Sep. 28 1741), Ulrich, George and David.
Spouse #1 Unknown. Known children: Christian Peeler; Anthony Peeler; Michael Peeler (DOB Aug 9 1740 Lancaster Co. PA)Note from Sharolyn P. Wood: Anthony Peeler listed on the “Robert and Alice” purchased land in Rowan Co N.C. in 1764 and that Peeler Creek in Davie County is named for the Anthony Peeler family. It may also interest you that Peeler’s Dairy (Cherokee Co. SC) is currently owned by a direct descendant of Anthony Peeler.
Note from researcher: Zechariah Blackwell,(1759-1843), is buried in Issac Peeler’s family cemetery near Gaffney, SC. Someone told me there was no proof, but they thought Zechariah had married a Rachel Peeler who may have been the daughter or sister of Issac.
Note: Samuel Gilkey was born Jan. 22, 1820 died Aug. 22, 1898 in Attala county MS. I am trying to confirm his brothers & sisters. I think that there were 14 in all.
