Neva Richardson in a letter dated: Feb. 23, 1779 said Guilford was born on 8 Oct 1771, If this is true he was born before this marriage. She also had Joseph Petty born 23 Sep 1793 instead of 1792. She seemed to be working with Lillie May Pardee. 4233 Hawthorne Ave, Palos Verdes Estates inCA. I have now discarded the letter, but the information that is here is from her records, and that of Steve Kratz. I do not know his location now Apr. 2003 either. she gives Mary "Polly " Harmon as born in abt 1796 in Chatham Co., NC. dau fo Hezekiah and Kezziah (Petty Dillard) Harmon. She married in Chatham Co. to Guilford Petty sonof Issac Petty. Gilford was born about 1791 in Chatham Co., NC. and married 1st to Sally Harrington in Oct 1812. He died in 1863 in Pope Co. (Arkansas) and is burried in Three Forks Cemetery, in Hector, Pope County. Mary "Sally" died between 1850 and 1860 in either TN or Ark. It is not known where she is burried."
1836-1849 Henry County Court notes, July Term 1747 page 2oo. Guilford Petty was over age to be taxed and so a certificated was certified. He rec'd 25 cents return.
