John Sutton was born in Anderson County Kentucky. Samuel Briant Petty is the son of Rodham Petty and Mary Shouse. Rodham Petty was from Culpepper, Va .(Prince William Co) He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.
John Sutton Petty came to Texas with his wife Juliett Adline Boston. He parents also came.(Joel and Sarah Boston)
John Sutton and Juliett had 3 children: John Allen Petty, James Hardin Petty and Martha Jane Juliett died 3 weeks after the birth of Martha Jane.
John Sutton Petty married 2nd wife Mahala Henson and this is the line I am descended from.
