""Most of the names of the first, second and third generations, and a few of the dates following, were furnished by Mary (Belk) Helm and her daughter Elizabeth Ann Helm (born 1806) who married Benjamin Toler Vaughan. This information was written down in December, 1894 by Alice (Vaughan) Sharp, daughter of Elizabeth Ann (Helm) Vaughan and granddaughter of Mary (Belk) Helm.
