": Online information about guardian bonds: http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnstewar/will/WillBookC.htm

Summary of bonds and settlements in Stewart County. I actually believe the King/Petty marriage only produced the 3 boys: John R., Henry B., and William G.

In brief, the court records show different people handling the guardian bonds for the 3 boys than the other King minors. The three boys seem to usually be mentioned in a group without any other siblings. See, for example, #326 in the above source, but others entries exist throughout.

We know there is another set of King minors from entries like "guardian’s return by John Scarborough, guardian to the three heirs of John King; mentions suit by heirs of John King vs. heirs of William King" in 1831 (#104).

I believe these are Mary, Elizabeth, and possibly a Charles but not Charles Ann. See #182 and #183.

That leaves Charles Ann in yet a third family, specifically "Charles Ann R. King, heir of Charles King Jr". Same source, #105.

(Much more speculatively, I believe the others could be children of William King's various nephews who followed him to Tennessee from N.C., but that is still a current research topic of very uncertain status. Any insight into this possibility or about William King's origins are very welcome.)
