Isom Wade Petty (Matilda’s son) marries Amada Eliza Jane Wolfe (b. Oct. 4, 1868-d. June 15, 1956 m. July 25, 1905) in Smyth Co. Matilda Petty Bolt goes to live with them and their children William Howard, Zebulon, Vance, Minne and Georgia Mamie after Mary Ellen’s 1917 death. Isom Wade then dies in 1922 at 39 y.o. of meningitis. I lose this family for a while but Wm. Howard and Amanda Eliza Petty (d-1956) are buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Marion-Smyth County. The children Vance, Zebulon and the two daughters later show up on census records in CA. After a long search, I found records of Matilda Bolt of Smyth County-daughter of Isom & Mary Petty and widow of “Fielding” Bolt who lived from 1928-1931 in the Fairview Poor House in Pulaski County and then dies there Feb. 26, 1931.
