"Guy Lee Petty during a personal interview gave his birth date, 1 Feb 1908 and place- Mansville, Oklahoma. He stated that he was a Baptist. He said he was named Guy after his uncle on his Mother's side and named him Lee after my uncl on "my" daddy's side. When the transcript was taken, he said he live in Smithville, but the Baptist church that he went to was in Watson. The old baptist church where he was baptised was torn down and there is no church there any more.".
Guy Petty continued talking about his brother-"Marvin Gilbert Petty was bone 14 May 1912 in Wilcox, Arizona- we went out there in 1911and papa homesteaded 160 acres ther at Wilcox in Arizona and we stayed there until he proved up the land and got a deed to it so he could sell it and then he moved back here and traded it for our old home place where grandpa (Lewis L. Petty) lived here in Arkansas- where he was raised.".

Her brother Guy Petty gave information on her name and birth date. He said, " She was borned at the old home place down not too far from where Oscar, Jack, Rex and Ben were born."

"after Mary marrid Ivan Nelson in Idabel, Oklahoma then they moved to California and they lived out there 'til she died and she's been dead -Oh 12-15 years. They had 5 or 6 kids-I'm not sure how many.
