Jemima was alive at the time of the 1820 census and certainly for the birth of Maximilla. which I think is her last child. I also show William as born abt 1823. She does not appear in the 1830 US Census, so she died somewhere in between. In both census' the family is shown as living in Jefferson Twp., Logan Co., Ohio.( he hadn't resolved that with Zanesfield, but they must be located close to each other) I rad of a reference to a sickness in the area that took many lives in 1862, which may have been what took Jemima, or she died in child birth shortly after the birth of Maximilia. Gary found no other references on Maximillia or Jemima.
Van McClullock was his ancestor and wrote a short family history which is in possession of hes brother. It may resolve some of the missing dates.
Jemima was said to be of "Urbana." Urbana is generally where the Joseph Petty (her father's) farm was located on Knight Cree which is directly south of Bellefontaine (Logan County) abt 30 miles or so itn the next county which was Champaign Co.. (Zanesfield should not be confused with Zanesville.)2Family Records.
Jemima married Solomon McColloch, abt. 1808 at the “Old Petty Farm” in Urbana, Champaign, Co.,Ohio. Solomon and Jemima lived in the Zanesfield area on the Mad River, just southeast of Bellefontaine, which itself is North of Urbana. They had nine children. For reference, Solomon was born 1777 in Ohio Co., VA. : ref. Gary A Schaefer.
