My mother, Mary Hutchins, was the dau. of Thomas Harrington (dec;d) who was a brother to Drewry Harrington (dec'd) of Halifax, Co. NC" attested by Philmon Harrington (his mark) and John Harmon (his mark). abt 23 Nov 1787.
D Book pg 398: "James Hutchins (son of Mary Harrington, wife of James Hutchins) of Richmond Co., NC recovered all of the parts of the estate of Drury Harrington: 23 Nov 1787
Bond date of marriege of Morris Petty & Jane Brazington was 18 Aug 1851, but mg date was actually 17 Aug 1851. Anna Petty Foster (Morris's daughter) certificate lists Moriss' wife as Mary Brazenton but the vital records seem more correct. Marriage performed by Littlejohn Utley. W.P. " Anna Petty Foster was my great grandmother, Anna was born in Chatham Co., NC on August 21, 1860. Her motehre Morris Petty's wife was Mary Brazenton Petty. Anna died on 21 Jan 1914 at Liberty, North carolina. She married my great-grandfather John Joseph Foster (date unknown). They had 8 children the oldest being my grandmaother Alice." This is from a letter dated 3014-1974 by John Lisk.
