I have hereforto given to my son Thomas Petty a negro boy Israel valuedat Three Hundred Dollars also a negro girl named Minerva valued at FourHundred and Seventy Five Dollars, which he is to account for upon thedivision of my estate, but is not to account for interest upon saidadvancements.
I give to my daughter Mary Simpson in her lifetime a negro girl Rhodavalued at Four Hundred and Fifty Dollars, which said sum of Four Hundredand Fifty Dollars is to be accounted for by the children of my saiddaughter Mary Simpson upon the division of my estate but no interest uponsaid amount is to be accounted for.
I give to my son William Petty in his lifetime a negro girl named MaryAnn, valued at Four Hundred and Fifty Dollars which is to be accountedfor by the children of my said son William Petty upon the division of mysaid estate but no interest to be accounted for by ___.

Irene Petty Watts listed him as having gone to South Carolina with his brother Luke Petty. There is a signature of an Abner Petty in South Carolina Archives dated 1779. He was said that he died of Small pox during the revolutionary war. Ref: Petty Book pub in 1934 and is found in Halifax Co., Courthouse, Virginia.
