I also have a partial copy of William Petty who's wife was Demiah Davis who was married in Prince William County on 8 Dec 1805 or 1800. The Rev Record was 8,166: Hand written page #34 is missing. It was published in the Petty Papers

Rev. War Record of his father by Elijah Whitson Petty son of William and Demiah Petty age 46 dated 6 Sep 1853. Said Wm Petty died 8 Aug 1837 leaving a widow and 2 children Elijah W. Petty the claimant and a daughter Mary S Lovelace age ? now 41 years and living in Prince William County, Va.... above son does not know of any official paper but he is of the opinion that his father Wm. Petty was drafted at a place called "Randolp's Old fields. " and that one of the officers was Brown?.

He spoke of being in York Town. He stated his father was born in Prince William County, VA and also drafted and died there. Signed Elijah W. Petty Witnesses Wm A. Weden and James Weeks.

He said he was born in Chatham Co., however, Chatham Co. was not organized until 1770, must assume that he meant near it. He lived in Kershaw Co., SC with his mother when the Rev. War broke out in Moore Co. in 1778. Married in South Carolina in Butler Co. Al by 1825, still living there in 1857.
