Children of Henry and Margaret Petty Stoltz were 1- Samuel B. Jun3 13, 1832 (wife Sarah) 2- George Washington b. Perry Co., Ohio Jan. 26, 1828, d. Lawrence Co., Ill. Fev. 11, 1899, buried at Pleasant Hll (PettyP cemetery ne of Sumner, Ill. 3- John. 4- Daniel (wife, Ellen) 5- Betsy (Adcock) 6- Sarah 7- Mary 8- Anna & 9- Catherine (Westall) George Washington was my grandfather. He was bosrn in Perry Co., Ohio and with his wife and two oldest children he came from Bremen, O. to Illinois in 1854. Ruby Smith (now deceased) gave me much of the family history that I have and she wrote me as follows: "I think you know that the land for the Petty cemetery was given by our grandfather (George) Stoltz on the east side and his brother Uncle Jeff Petty (b. out of wedlock) on the west side." I think the early ancestors born in the 1700's probably were born in Germany but have nothing to prove it. Perhaps you can go on from here. Luck to you! Pansy C. Couchman."
"I Henry Stoltz b. 1778 d. 1836 m. Margaret Petty b. 1791 d. 1869 Perry Co., Ohio. She was a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Petty. Joseph Petty was born 1764 d. 1850. Elizabeth, wife of Joseph Petty, was born 1765, d. 1847 in Perry Co., Ohio. Margaret Petty had a son Jefferson (Jeff) born out of wedlock.
