Research by David Martin, indicates that James Petty and Maria had a large family. He died at the age of 43. In the 1880 census, one of their children gave Virginia as the birthplace of both James and Maria.2Annette Petty (apetty at cyberrealm.net).

The Logan-Ford marriage was 27 (or 29) Sept 1836, in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

Elizabeth Petty married Oct. 9, 1806, Culpeper Co., VA to Reuben Ford, b. 1789, and died 1854 Pulaski Co. KY. They had at least one son, Marshall Ford, born May 27, 1819 Wayne Co, KY and died 1882 in Nodaway Co., MD.
